Areas of Play

Playcentre follows the New Zealand early childhood curriculum document Te Whāriki.

It states a range of appropriate learning experiences and outcomes for children, which guide our centre in planning for our children.

Areas of play at Playcentre include: • Playdough • Clay • Paint • Puzzles • Water • Blocks • Sand • Collage • Carpentry • Outdoor and active play • Books and storytelling • Fantasy, family and dramatic play • Music and movement • Construction and junk play • Exploratory and discovery play

Every day is different at Playcentre. Check out a small selection of the cool stuff we get up to here and follow us on Facebook to see more of the fun things we do!
